Taxes, 2005
My taxes are in the mail, woohoo! This year, it’s a really good thing because I’m getting a significant chunk of change back, having itemized for the first time. In fact, I’m getting so much back it will hopefully pay for, or at least pay for most of a stick-built shed. That said, I’ll probably be starting the shed soon. The foundation components (4×4 posts, cement, 2×8s, etc) aren’t terribly expensive, so I’ll charge them and then pay the purchases off when I get the money back. :)
Anyway, I’ve got to get back to work, I’ve got lots to do. Tomorrow, my new position will be announced and as I’ve said before, the work load is already there! I’m trying not to think too much about the raise, but I still have no idea what it will be and am definitely and extremely curious. And yes, I do know that I really need to start posting pictures again! It’s getting nearer to spring so I at least will have plenty of opportunities coming up for some nature shots.
Hooray for tax refunds! I’m the opposite this year. I’ll get some money back, but it’ll maybe pay for lunch for 2 weeks. Previous years were better. Alas.
Anyway, hopefully in addition to the shed you do something fun with a little bit of the refund. :)
I’m sure I’ll do something fun with a little of it. I’ve been eyeing an iPod with Video and a few other Apple peripherals. If not that, I also need a new desk for my “office.” :)
