Gas

Oh boy, I’m glad I don’t own an SUV! :)
Yesterday, on the way home, I saw something that I don’t think I’d ever seen before—lots of cars lined up trying to get gas at one station. I glanced at the price and it didn’t seem any lower than the average for my area. This morning though, I found out why. There is a shortage of gas for the southeast. Today, it got worse. My sister says gas was up 30 cents at lunch and over $3 after work. On the way home today I saw prices for myself, they were extremely high. Luckily, diesel doesn’t seem quite so bad, at least for now.
In any case, I’m at my parents house watching Katrina coverage now. It’s been strange not being able to watch this at home. I feel like I’ve been out of the loop for days now, but as I watch CNN, it’s not such a bad thing. After seeing so much “news coverage,” you tend to get get jaded a bit. So, there ya go. This isn’t a real long post, but it’s something.
