Camera, End of the Road

Last night, my Canon S40 more or less, bit the dust. I’m not sure what happened, but the sliding lens cover that is also the power switch is now screwed up so that if you touch it at all, it cuts the power off. It still takes pictures, but if it won’t stay on, it can’t be used. It’s not a good thing because while I was throwing the idea of a new digital camera around in my, I really wasn’t seriously considering it. Now though, it’s practically a necessity. I really don’t want to go without a working digital camera!

On the other hand, it turned three years old earlier in the month. Not a bad lifetime for a digital camera.
