I am a twenty-sixseven year old in Upstate, SC. employed as a Design Analyst by QS/1 Data Systems. I am currently designing interfaces for our Windows® products, which I enjoy tremendously. I’m also interested in desiging for the standards-based web and learning cool CSS tricks, although at this point, I’ve still got a lot to learn. I also love photography.

About blumenvasen.org

Blumenvasen, in German, means “flower vases”. My 2001 VW Beetle came standard with a bud vase so with a stretch, blumenvasen translates to bud vase. I thought it was cool and would be a cool domain to own.

Colophon

The design of blumenvasen.org has had many renditions over the last couple years. Currently, the design is more or less the same as the previous look, I just created some custom graphics. The banner graphic is based on a photograph from the stock.xchng. This is the original version. The site is run with Movable Type (awesome weblog/journal softare!). If you run a blog or a journal, definitely look at this package. It rocks!

Entries are generally posted through the MT interface. In the past I’ve used Ecto, a really cool OS X app, but there is a new version that was not a free upgrade so I haven’t purchased it again yet. If you have a Macintosh computer, give it a try.
