Photon
By the way, yesterday’s picture was posted with Photon, a plug-in for iPhoto that lets me post images directly from iPhoto. I like the idea, but like Erik from nslog(), have issues with the fact that I have to edit the entries to add text. Still, there is a lot of potential with this product. It’d be nice (but I’m not sure how possible) to have a right click publishing interface. Having to go to the menu is a little cumbersome. Also, maybe I’m just not that smart, but is there any documentation? It took me a few minutes to figure out how to even use it.

Hi,
Thanks for trying out Photon.
Photon was primarily designed to be used for PhotoBlogging rather than adding a picture to what would otherwise be a text entry. That doesn’t mean that Photon can’t be used for adding a photo to an entry, it’s just that it wasn’t really designed to be used that way. That’s our fault for not clearly explaining what Photon was designed to be used for.
Rather than making Photon a blog editor, which is essentially would we’d be doing by adding text entry, we’ve decided to add an option to post the entry as a draft rather than publishing it. This allows the final text editing to be done through an application that was designed for such a purpose.
For those who wish to use the same program for posting photos and their text entry at the same time we recommend using ecto which has such a feature.
As to the documentation for actually using Photon you can click the purple help button from the Settings sheet and get full help on how to use Photon.
