20,000 Club Rant

Stupid internet proxy! During lunch I played Rock Star and finally broke the 20,000 mark (albeit on a level 2 game), but since i hadn’t gone anywhere on the internet, port 80 was still blocked. So my post to the Internet High Scores list, failed. :( So I’m still a loser.

20,000 is more of a feat than you think, too! You have to average 800 per song and unless you somehow get 900-1000 points on a few, you can’t miss more than 1 or 2 at most. I think Level 2 requires a playlist with more than 100 songs. Level 3 requires between 750 and 1000 songs (not sure which, my custom level 3 playlist is a random 1000 songs). I’m not sure what Level 4 requires, but I think Level 5 requires 5000 songs. I can’t compete in level 5 because I don’t have that many songs. With that many songs, you have to *really* know them to get the requisite 800 points.

Anyway, I’ve come up with a feature that would really be beneficial for those of us losers who are seeking after 20k. There needs to be a way to stop a game in the middle without actually quitting the program. Because like I said, if you miss three or four or more, why continue?

And yes, this is listed in the instructions. :-)

P.S. How about a link to the thing to which you sent a TrackBack?
