Ice Part 2
Well, I did make it in yesterday after all. I got to work about 12:30 after I started feeling a little guilty. It was a really short day, though. Managers went around and told everyone to leave around 4:00 p.m., since it was supposed to get nasty again. I went to bed fairly early for me last night and was up and ready to leave for work a little after 8. I couldn’t get out of the apartment complex though. The roads were too icy. A little before 10 I tried again and made it. I am really hoping that it warms up as they are predicting. Otherwise, getting home will be fairly difficult. About half the drive is on roads that are infrequently traveled and are still going to be slick. I probably should have just taken a vacation day.
