Swing Dancin’ Fools

Tonight was the first night of swing dance classes! I’m not sure how my partners, Tina, Maleah, and my sister (after the class), would rate my dancing skills but I felt like I only got better as the night went on. I didn’t even realize it was time to go until the teacher said something about it; that’s how much fun it was! I think Schtoom will agree! I needed a little help a couple times but I think I’ve got most of what we learned. Hopefully we’ll have a review before we learn anything new next week! The really good thing though is how comfortable I was, at least after the initial few minutes. I think it helped that I knew most everyone there and could relax. I tried as best I could but I wasn’t stressing as much about making a mistake as I did last week when we took the lesson at the Handlebar. I am getting a little tired though. So, until tomorrow, adieu.

Down a shot or two before you go … instant relaxation.

As far as I know, no alcohol was involved in making the night enjoyable for everyone!

I don’t know, a couple of shots might have helped me. Kevin Bacon, I am not.

I’m not either but I don’t think shots would have helped.

Oh yeah, they would have helped.

I wish I could swing dance. My feet aren’t that coordinated.

Mine neither. That’s why I’m thinking a few shots might be helpful for the next time i go.

At least after a few shots, you start to “think” that you are more coordinated.

Yeah, I’ve always “thought” I dance a bit better when I’m nine sheets to the wind. And it is sometimes true. Frightening.
