christmas morning
we’ve long been done with santa claus stuff and are cleaning up a little now. there’s a nice big fire in the fireplace and we’re listening to some christmas music i have on the laptop. we might play the christmas trivia game i brought in a little while. we played some last night since we didn’t go look at christmas lights like we normally do. i took some pictures earlier of the christmas tree, david building his new lego jedi starfighter, and our foster baby charlie.
it’s after dinner now and the living room is cleaned up, at least the floor’s been vaccuumed. i can’t stand the the vaccuum cleaner here. it’s an older one that has a bag and has no filters. so some dust escapes out of the bag, through the bag cover and back into the room. and since dust is always a big problem here, it makes the allergy problem worse. we’ve got three candles burning so we can have all of them fairly new when family gets here. (edited: 12-29 – we always burn candles in crystal candlesticks on top of the mantel. with a mirror behind them, it’s a pretty cool sight) some of them are getting here around 4:30 or so and the other’s around 5:00.
