I am a twenty-eightnine year old in Upstate, SC. employed as a Design Analyst by QS/1 Data Systems. I am currently designing interfaces for our Windows® products, which I enjoy tremendously. I’m also interested in designing for the standards-based web and learning cool CSS tricks, although at this point, I’ve still got a lot to learn. I also love photography. About blumenvasen.org
Blumenvasen, in German, means “flower vases”. My 2001 VW Beetle came standard with a bud vase so with a stretch, blumenvasen translates to bud vase. I thought it was cool and would be a cool domain to own.
Colophon
The design of blumenvasen.org has had many renditions over the last couple years and now is based off the MistyLook theme, as I’m now running WordPress. The banner graphic is based on a photograph I took on the way home from San Francisco in May of 2006. This is the original version. The site is run with WordPress 2.3. MovableType became too much of a pain to rebuild and deal with. WordPress on the other hand, is quick and painless once you install a few plugins. Entries are generally posted through the WordPress interface. I’ve used Ecto in the distant past. It’s a pretty cool OS X app, but there is a new version that was not a free upgrade so I haven’t purchased it again… Ok, that text is really old. I need to try it again to see how I like it! If you have a Macintosh computer, you should too.
